Fade them your way

Raw and ready to break in

The 'Second Edition' WL-001 is made from the same denim as the 'First Edition'—but this time it's raw. That means it hasn’t been washed after the jeans are cut and sewn, giving you the chance to break them in entirely from scratch.

The denim fades fast. So even with regular washing, these jeans will still show strong contrast and lots of character. With patience (and lots of wear), they’ll reward you with jaw-dropping fades.

Don’t sit on the white couch (it'll turn blue)

The indigo sits close to the surface of the cotton, and the colour naturally wants to leave. That’s why these jeans fade so quickly and beautifully.

For the first few weeks, you’ll notice blue on your hands, on white T-shirts or sneakers, and if you sit on light-coloured furniture (especially leather, linen, or unfinished wood).

Don’t worry—it passes as the denim settles in, and after you've soaked or washed them, and most of it washes off fairly easily.

FIT AND SIZING

How they fit

The fit is a straight-leg five-pocket. That means:

  • straight leg
  • mid-waist rise
  • thigh with enough room

They're sized similarly to western brands.

Follow the size guide and compare measurements before you order.

Thomas wears a size 30 for a slimmer silhouette and a size 31 for a more casual cut.

The denim

Candiani selvedge

The denim is woven by Candiani in Italy on old shuttle looms from the 1960s. You’ll spot the redline selvedge edge when you roll the cuff—and on the fly, and the coin pocket.

Thanks to Candiani's Indigo Juice dyeing tech and slubby ring-spun texture, these jeans are made to fade. Indigo Juice is a low-impact process that uses less water and fewer chemicals—but still delivers that deep, classic indigo look.

  • Long-staple regenerative cotton grown in Europe (Spain)
  • Ring-spun yarns with a 6 yarn count in both warp and weft
  • Thick yarns in an open weave for an authentic denim texture
  • Dyed with Candiani’s low-impact Indigo Juice technique
  • Sized with Candiani’s proprietary bio-based Kitotex process

The perfect mix of high-tech sustainability and old-school character.

Care tips for raw denim

Want fades? Here's how.

Wear them as they are—or soak them first. Raw means unwashed. You can wear these jeans straight out of the box. Or give them a cold soak before first wear—no soap, just water.

Make them your main pair. Fades come from friction. Don’t rotate with other pairs, just commit to these. Wear them daily, beat them up, and let your life leave its mark.

Delay the wash—but don’t fear it. Wait at least 2–3 months before the first wash. After that, wash when needed. Cold water. Inside-out. Mild detergent. Air dry. Always.

Repair early. Catching a worn spot early is easier (and cheaper) than fixing a blowout.

With proper care and timely repairs, you can get hundreds of wears. How you treat them affects how they age, and how long they’ll last.

THE BIG QUESTION

To soak or not to soak?

The denim is sanforized, so shrinkage is minimal. But I recommend giving them an initial soak before first wear. It removes starch, softens the fabric, and sets the first creases that become your fades. If you prefer, you can skip it and wear them straight from raw—it’s up to you.

How to soak:

  • Turn them inside out—this is crucial to avoid streaks.
  • Use fresh water at about 30°C (no soap; a splash of white vinegar is optional).
  • Soak for 30–60 minutes, then rinse.
  • Hang dry out of direct sun. (I dry mine in the shower—it’s slower, but safe.)

Optional: spin cycle to get water out—but only inside out.

After that, just wear them. Wash when needed—there’s no prize for never washing. Learn more about how to wash jeans on Denimhunters.

The root of the matter

Old-school farming for a future-proof fabric

Regenerative cotton is farmed with age-old techniques like crop rotation and natural fertilisers. The result is healthier soil, more biodiversity, more carbon sequestration and storing of atmospheric CO2, and less emissions released in the atmosphere.

This is a pretty big deal. Because cotton is a resource-intensive crop. It requires (a lot) of water and sunshine to grow. And just like in the food industry, farmers have been using fertilisers and pesticides for decades. Regenerative cotton is grown without any of that stuff.

The cotton is certified by the Regenagri initiative, which you can read more about on their website.

Who's behind this

Built on experience, made with purpose

I’m Thomas—and I’ve been obsessed with denim for as long as I can remember. For over a decade, I’ve helped people find jeans that fit and fade beautifully through my work at Denimhunters and with other brands behind the scenes.

Weirloom is the culmination of everything I’ve learned: the fits that work, the fabrics that age right, the details that matter. But more than that, it’s about building something I believe in. Something honest. Something to be proud of.

This is just the beginning. And I’m glad you’re here for it.
